7/25/2025 12:12:00 PM

East Stroudsburg, PA —East Stroudsburg University Volleyball is laying the foundation for a powerhouse program in 2025, backed by a new class of student-athletes representing six states and four countries. These women arrive on campus not only with impressive high school and junior college accolades, but with ambitions that stretch far beyond the court—from television broadcasting to healthcare, law, early education, and private finance.

Romina "Castro" Martinez Castro (Cochabamba, Bolivia) enters ESU as a junior transfer from McCook Community College, where she helped secure back-to-back NCCAC championships and NJCAA Regionals appearances. As an outside/right side hitter, Castro brings mature athleticism and versatility to the court. She's a two-time Academic Honor recipient (Dean's List, President's List) and majors in Communication with a concentration in broadcasting. Her goal: to work for a major television network.

Marta Leeland (Portage, Wisconsin) begins her freshman campaign with a résumé that includes All-State honors, 1,000+ career digs, and four consecutive tournament wins. As a Libero/Defensive Specialist, she'll anchor ESU's back row with intelligence and tenacity. Leeland graduated 4th out of 144 students and aims to become a sports attorney, majoring in Sports Management with a minor in Economics.

Allison Flynn (Flemington, New Jersey) brings defensive depth as a DS/L, having earned First Team All-Conference honors twice and ranking among New Jersey's top defenders. Flynn also excels off the court, with high honor roll recognition and a major in Early Childhood Education. Her dream is to work with children, particularly in preschool or early elementary classrooms.

Georgia Stevens (Red Deer, Alberta, Canada) joins ESU as a Setter, having led her high school team to top finishes in provincial and zone competitions. Named team captain and 2025 Coaches Award recipient, Stevens also achieved academic honors every year. Her focus at ESU will be on Finance and Business Administration, with plans to pursue a career in private wealth management.

Domani Collazo (Tremont, Pennsylvania) is a middle/outside hitter with elite stats: over 700 career kills and 100 blocks, despite a late-season injury. Her honors include Academic All-American all four years, League and District All-Star selections, and All-State status. Collazo intends to major in Marketing with a minor in Business, pursuing real estate after graduation.

Lucy Berry (Milwaukie, Oregon) arrives at ESU as a middle hitter who stands 6'2" and earned All-League and All-State honors during her senior season. Named to the Academic All-State team in 2024, she's majoring in Biochemistry with plans to enter healthcare. Her presence at the net and strong academic foundation make her one to watch.

Kailynn Dupre (Lake Mary, Florida) rounds out the incoming class with power and precision. Standing 6'1", she'll contribute significantly as a front-row attacker. A Finance major with a Business minor, Dupre is focused on both athletic and academic excellence.

Together, these student-athletes represent the heart of ESU Volleyball's mission: compete with integrity, lead in the classroom, and build purposeful futures. From Bolivia to Alberta and across the United States, this 2025 class is ready to serve.
