East Stroudsburg Cross Country Opens Season with Five Promising Newcomers

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. — East Stroudsburg University's Men's and Women's Cross Country teams begin the 2025 season with five newcomers.

Women's Team Additions
Ashley Landis of Perkasie, Pennsylvania, joins from Pennridge High School. She set her school's record in the 800 meters and earned medals at every state meet appearance. Landis is majoring in Athletic Training.

Morgan Salmon of Oxford, New Jersey, is a graduate of Warren Hills High School. She recorded personal bests of 2:24 in the 800 meters and 63.02 in the 400 meters. A member of the National Honor Society, Salmon is majoring in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Special Education.

Sarah Williams of Dallas, Pennsylvania, graduated from Dallas High School. She was a PIAA scholar athlete scholarship recipient, earned 11 district medals, and was a two-time state medalist. Her personal bests include 5:10 in the 1600 meters, 11:22 in the 3200 meters, 19:17 in the 5K, and 2:25 in the 800 meters. Williams maintained a 4.0 GPA and is majoring in Business Management.

Men's Team Additions
Benjamin Pentz of West Chester, Pennsylvania, arrives from B. Reed Henderson High School. He was a four-time Chesmont Champion and a district and state qualifier. Pentz held a 3.84 GPA and participated in academic clubs. He is majoring in Environmental Sciences.

Aiden Voth of Gilbertsville, Pennsylvania, joins from Boyertown Area Senior High. His personal bests include 1:56 in the 800 meters, 4:24 in the 1600 meters, and 15:46 in the 5000 meters. Voth was named the 2024 Pottstown Mercury Cross Country Player of the Year and earned multiple first-team honors. He is majoring in Computer Science.
