East Stroudsburg, Pa.— - East Stroudsburg University is proud to announce that assistant lacrosse coach
Rachel Ward will represent Team Ireland in the Women's Sixes Lacrosse competition at The World Games 2025, held in Chengdu, China. This prestigious international event showcases the fastest-growing format of the sport, and Ward's selection is a testament to her talent, dedication, and leadership on and off the field.
Team Ireland will compete in Pool B, a fiercely competitive group featuring the defending silver and bronze medalists—the United States and Australia—as well as Ireland and Czechia, two rising squads that earned their spots by topping a 12-team European qualifier. With powerhouse programs and hungry challengers in the mix, Pool B promises high-intensity matchups and thrilling lacrosse action.
Team Ireland's Pool B Schedule:
- Thursday, August 7 at 9:00 AM – vs. United States
- Friday, August 8 at 1:00 PM – vs. Czechia
- Saturday, August 9 at 1:00 PM – vs. Australia
