EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The East Stroudsburg University men's soccer team claimed a 3-0 victory over Jefferson University on Friday afternoon at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
The Warriors deposited two first-half goals with the initial marker coming in the sixth minute when sophomore
Jace Seara shot low left for his second tally of the season. East Stroudsburg added another in the 15
th minute after sophomore Ryan Kieran put a shot home low left off an assist from freshman
Owen Rennie to put East Stroudsburg ahead 2-0.
The Warriors scored the final goal of the match in 48
th minute after Seara netted his second of the day, putting the shot high left to extend the score to 3-0.
Junior
Kevin Kretschman made one save in 75:26 of action in goal for East Stroudsburg in the win. Sophomore
Phil Sykes played the final 14:34 in goal and collected one save.
Freshman Luca Bellina (Panama City, Panama) recorded four saves in the setback for the Rams.
The Warriors outshot Jefferson, 15-5, and had seven corner kicks to the Rams' three.
East Stroudsburg (2-1-0 overall) will stay home to host Adelphi University on Sunday, September 14 at 3:00 p.m. Jefferson (2-2-0 overall) returns to action at home against Bloomsburg University on Wednesday, September 17 at 4:00 p.m.
