EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The East Stroudsburg University women's soccer team stayed unbeaten on the young season with a 1-0 shutout of Georgian Court University on Wednesday at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
Sophomore
Jade Wiley tallied the lone goal of the match in the 58
th minute.
Senior Emmy Clarkson made seven stops in goal to preserve the clean sheet for East Stroudsburg. Graduate student Brooke McKown (Jackson, N.J.) registered nine saves for the Lions.
The Warriors outshot Georgian Court 15-8 while the Lions had nine corners to the Warriors' four.
East Stroudsburg (1-0-3 overall) resumes conference play at Kutztown University on Saturday, September 20 at 1:00 p.m. Georgian Court (0-3-0 overall) continues conference play on Saturday with a match at the University of Bridgeport at 3:00 p.m.
