KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The East Stroudsburg University women's soccer team suffered a 2-0 loss to Kutztown University in a PSAC-East match on Saturday afternoon at Keystone Field.
The Golden Bears put up its first goal in the 15
th minute when junior Corinne Morgan (Port Republic, N.J.) found the back of the net to put Kutztown up 1-0.
That score held until Morgan deposited a penalty kick in the 62
nd minute to extend the lead to 2-0, the eventual final.
Junior Morgan O'Donnell (West Chester, Pa.) made four saves in the victory for the Golden Bears. Sophomore
Ava Perrone registered six stops in the loss.
Kutztown held a 21-8 advantage in shots and a 9-0 margin in corner kicks. Junior
Maddie Lamb paced the Warriors with three shots.
East Stroudsburg (1-1-3 overall, 0-1-3 PSAC East) returns home to host Bloomsburg University on Wednesday, September 24 at 7:00 p.m. Kutztown (5-1-0 overall, 3-1-0 PSAC East) will next travel to face West Chester University on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m.
