EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - The No. 3 East Stroudsburg University field hockey team exploded for five unanswered goals to defeat No. 10 Millersville 5-1 in a non-conference game on Thursday afternoon at Whitenight Field.
The Warriors improved to 6-0 on the season while the Marauders fell to 3-2.

Rylie McGrath scored a pair of goals in the second half.
Kerry Kaufman,
Puck de Ruiter, and
Emma Friend each added a goal. Kaufman recorded an assist as well.
ESU dominated offensively, outshooting Millersville 21-5 overall, and 14-4 on goal. The Warriors also held a significant advantage in penalty corners.

How it Happened
Millersville struck first when Megan Alvarez found the back of the net to give the visitors an early 1-0 lead. Pope made two saves for the Warriors in the first quarter to keep the deficit at one.
ESU found the equalizer in the second quarter when
Puck de Ruiter scored following a penalty corner to tie the game 1-1.
Less than three minutes later, the Warriors took the lead for good as
Kerry Kaufman scored off an assist from
Elaiana Rivera-Lagalla, making it 2-1 headed into halftime.
Rylie McGrath scored her first goal of the game, assisted by Kaufman, to push the advantage to 3-1.
McGrath was not done, scoring her second goal of the fourth quarter off a pass from
Lisa Pasman to make it 4-1.
Emma Friend capped the scoring with just 13 seconds remaining in the game, converting an assist from
Minke Klijn for the 5-1 final.
