Warriors Battle Hard in Four-Set Loss at IUP

INDIANA, Pa. – Despite a hard-fought effort on the road, the East Stroudsburg University women's volleyball team (9-4) fell in a competitive four-set match (18-25, 25-23, 21-25, 17-25) to Indiana (PA) (9-3, 1-1 PSAC) on Saturday evening at the Kovalchick Convention & Athletic Complex.
 
Notables
Anna Coulter led the offense with 11 kills on a .321 hitting percentage, also contributing a team-high 17.0 points with two service aces and seven total blocks (one solo, six assisted).

Kelly Crites recorded nine kills and four total blocks (one solo, three assisted).

Kyra Bishop tallied 15 assists, while Kata Kovacs added 14 assists.

Defensively, Marta Leeland paced the Warriors with a team-high 20 digs
 
How It Happened
Set 1 (18-25): Indiana (PA) took the first set from the Warriors. ESU posted eight kills against five errors in the frame.

Set 2 (25-23): East Stroudsburg University bounced back to even the match at one set apiece. The Warriors' attack was at its most efficient in the second set, recording 12 kills. The set was tightly contested, featuring 15 tie scores and seven lead changes.

Set 3 (21-25): The Crimson Hawks regained the lead by taking the third set. ESU had its best hitting percentage of the match in this set at .214, with eight kills and only two attack errors.

Set 4 (17-25): Indiana (PA) secured the match victory by winning the fourth and final set. The set included 11 tie scores and six lead changes before the Crimson Hawks pulled away.
