MAHWAH, N.J. -- The East Stroudsburg University men's track and field team earned four first place finishes in the field events and added four more PSAC qualifying marks at the Ramapo Opener on Friday.
Capturing first place finishes in their respective events were Anthony Voto (shot put, weight throw), Chris Costa (pole vault), and Jalen Cook (high jump).
PSAC Automatic Qualifiers
Track Events
In the 60m finals, Nico Gasque placed fourth with a time of 7.01 and in the 60mH finals, Gabriel Tsayo placed seventh (8.80).
In the mile, Andrew Tatesure earned an automatic PSAC qualifying mark with a time of 4:19.93.
Mark Jackson placed 11th in the 800m (2:01.16), Ajani Miller and Chase Temple placed 14th and 18th respectively in the 400m, and Jaylen Morrison placed 17th in the 200m.
Field Events
Jalen Cook placed first in the high jump with an automatic PSAC qualifying jump of 2.01m. Chris Costa placed first in the pole vault (4.60m), earning a PSAC qualifying mark.
In the triple jump, both Nasir Heard and Jaden Johnson earned PSAC qualifying marks with their jumps. Heard placed sixth (14.04m) and Johnson placed seventh (13.93m).
Anthony Voto swept the shot put and the weight throw. Both throws were PSAC qualifying marks and his weight throw of 19.47m was a NCAA Provisional.
