ESU Selected No.15 in NFCA/GoRout Division II Top-25 Coaches Preseason Poll

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- After completing another historic season that included 48 wins and the program's second PSAC Championship, the East Stroudsburg University softball team was ranked No.15 in the NFCA/GoRout DII Top-25 Coaches Preseason Poll, released by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) on Tuesday afternoon. 

ESU is one of three schools in the PSAC to be ranked in the top-25. East Stroudsburg is behind No.7 Shippensburg and ahead of No.16 Kutztown. 

The Warrior's captured the program's first PSAC Championship since 1980 with their 10-2 win over Shepherd. ESU made it back to the NCAA Tournament for the third straight season and fourth time in five years under head coach Jaime Wohlbach.  

Coach Wohlbach repeated as the PSAC Coach of the Year after guiding the Warriors to their third straight PSAC East regular season title with a 48-12-1 overall record and 26-5-1 mark in conference play. ESU was the lone team in the PSAC to reach 45 wins and 25 conference wins in 2025. Coach Wohlbach in entering her 11th season at the helm of the Warriors. 

ESU has two of their four All-PSAC First Team selections returning, junior pitcher Sarah Davenport and senior catcher Delaney Ridgell. Other key returners are sophomore infielder Tulana Mingin, sophomore catcher Kinsley Proepper, senior infielder Maddy Pritchard, and graduate outfielder Katie Master

Last season, the Warriors led the conference with 351 runs, 527 hits, 310 RBIs, and 16 shutouts, while finishing second in stolen bases (98), fielding percentage (.971), ERA (2.41), and total putouts (1,211).

The Warriors open the 2026 season in Florida, taking on Bentley (Feb. 6), Barry (Feb. 6–7), and Saginaw Valley State (Feb. 7), before closing the trip with a doubleheader at Nova Southeastern on Feb. 8.

Following the Florida trip, ESU will travel to Wilmington, Del., to face the Wildcats on Feb. 18 before returning to Creekview Park for a 10-game homestand. The Warriors will host Southern New Hampshire on Feb. 20, Assumption on Feb. 21, Wilmington (Del.) on Feb. 25, Caldwell on March 1, and Adelphi on March 14. Overall, ESU is scheduled to play 26 regular-season home games at Creekview Park.

The 2026 NFCA/Go Rout Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll is voted on by the NFCA Division II Top 25 Poll Committee. The committee consists of 16 NCAA Division II head coaches with two representing each of the NCAA's eight regions.
