Voto Breaks PSAC Indoor Weight Throw Record at Harvard Invitational

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- The East Stroudsburg Unversity men's track and field team was led by Anthony Voto at the Harvard Invitational on Friday, as he captured first place in the weight throw with a PSAC indoor record mark of 20.56 meters. The Warriors also added three more automatic PSAC qualifying marks.

Field Results
Jalen Cook placed fourth in the high jump invite with a jump of 2.03m (6-7 3/4), while Peter Stanislavsky finished fifth and earned an automatic PSAC qualifying mark with a jump of 1.98m (6-6).

In the long jump invite, Daniel Smith finished fourth with a leap of 6.74 meters (22-1 1/2), while Nasir Heard placed sixth at 6.70 meters (21-11 3/4). Albert Morton rounded out the group with a 10th-place finish after jumping 6.38 meters (20-11 1/4).

Jaden Johnson placed fifth in the triple jump invite, recording a mark of 14.05 meters (46-1 1/4). Stanislavsky earned another automatic PSAC qualifying mark with a jump of 13.83 meters (45-4 1/2). In the triple jump open, Gabriel Tsayo finished fourth with a jump of 13.14 meters (43-1 1/2).

In the shot put invite, Jalen Gaymon placed eighth with a throw of 14.48m (47-6 1/4). Gaymon also competed in the weight throw open, placing fourth and earning an automatic PSAC qualifying mark with a throw of 15.07 meters (49-5 1/2).

Anthony Voto highlighted the meet by winning the weight throw invite with a throw of 20.56 meters (67-5 1/2), breaking the PSAC indoor record. The mark surpassed his own previous school record of 66-8 1/2, set just last weekend at the Gulden Invitational. Voto broke the PSAC indoor record of 67-02 set by Lock Haven's Eric Zalar at last weekend's Gulden Invitational.
