EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. — With the winter season quickly approaching, the ESU Coaches Show is back for Week 8, featuring the football and wrestling teams for a full guest list.
Host Chuck Seese, HC
Jimmy Terwilliger, and Defensive Backs Coach
Billy Inge III start the show discussing ESU's win at Shippensburg this past weekend. The Warriors exploded for their best passing game of the season so far, as well as held the Raiders to under 200 yards of total offense. Junior QB
Matt Machalik and fifth-year WR
Elijah Ford come on the show to break down their play, as Machalik threw for 225 yards, and Ford accounted for 103 of those on seven receptions. Also making plays last week, senior LB
Sean McFadden and sophomore RB
Will Day had strong performances, and they'll talk to Seese about stepping up for ESU when their number was called.
As October winds down, the ESU Open for the men's and women's wrestling teams gets closer each day, signaling the beginning of each of their seasons. HC
Anibal Nieves joins Seese to discuss the outlook for either team, looking to send wrestlers back to the NCAA Championships and return as All-Americans once again. On the men's side, senior
Layton Schmick, junior
Gavin Reynolds, and junior
Austin Noe are the Warriors' team captains, and two of the women's team's captains, seniors
Angelina Hiller and
Jade Huerta, take spots at the table to talk about the preparation that's gone into the 2026-27 campaign.
As we wrap up the show,
AJ Moncman caps it off with
AJ's View.
Be sure to follow along from the PSAC Sports Digital Network or come down to Teddy's University in person tonight at 5 p.m. If you're unable to catch it live, catch up on the interviews afterward on the ESU Athletics YouTube Channel.
