NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. — Following a 13-goal win to begin the season, the ESU women's lacrosse team moved up one spot in the latest Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) poll to No. 13.
ESU defeated No. 17 Seton Hill, who dropped two spots in this week's rankings, 16-3 last Saturday at Whitenight Field. The win was the Warriors' largest margin of victory against a ranked opponent since at least 2008, and the biggest win against the Griffins since they won 16-4 in 2018. ESU has four ranked opponents on their schedule, including two games against No. 5 West Chester and No. 20 Kutztown. The Warriors have another contest versus a ranked opponent next up on their schedule, hosting No. 23 Bentley at noon this Saturday, Feb. 21 at Whitenight Field.
