SPARKS, Md. — USA Lacrosse revealed its 2026 Preseason All-Americans, recognizing three Warriors before the season begins. Attacker Sadie Kauffman and goalkeeper Abby Simonetti were named to the First Team, and defender Molly Atwell was named to the Third Team.

Kauffman burst onto the scene during her freshman season last year, earning PSAC East Freshman of the Year, All-PSAC East First Team, IWLCA First Team All-American, and USA Lacrosse Second Team All-American. Kauffman put up 129 points between 103 goals and 26 assists, averaging 4.9 goals per game with a .523 shooting percentage. Kauffman ranked third in Division II in goals and fourth in points.

Simonetti, the reigning PSAC East Defensive Player of the Year, enters her final season with her resume already filled with accolades. The graduate student had made two All-PSAC teams, IWLCA All-American teams, and was IWLCA's Division II Goalkeeper of the Year in 2024.  Simonetti led the country last year in saves and save percentage, making 246 stops for a .560 save percentage.

Atwell broke out for the Warriors in her sophomore season, providing a strong defensive presence in the midfield. She was named to the All-PSAC East First Team and IWLCA All-Region First Team after recording 43 draw controls, 39 caused turnovers, and 38 ground balls.

The Warriors enter the season ranked 14th by the IWLCA in its preseason poll that was released Jan. 19 and open the season against a ranked rival in No. 17 Seton Hill. ESU hosts the Griffins at noon on Saturday, Feb. 14, at Whitenight Field.
