Kauffman Tabbed USA Lacrosse Division II Player of the Week

2/24/2026 4:39:00 PM

SPARKS, Md. — Fresh off a nine-point outing that fueled the ESU women's lacrosse team's 16-6 win over No. 23 Bentley, Sadie Kauffman was named USA Lacrosse Magazine's Division II National Player of the Week.

Kauffman outscored Bentley all on her own, posting eight goals and an assist. Her eight goals tied a career high, which she set in the first round of last year's NCAA Tournament against Frostburg State. She's scored nine points twice now in her career, one shy of her 10-point game at Kutztown last season, with the other also coming against the Golden Bears at home. Kauffman has 14 goals and an assist through two games this season, ranking second in the country in goals and points per game.

Kauffman and the No. 12 Warriors travel to Indiana (Pa.) at noon tomorrow for the first of two games this week, ending with a home matchup against Georgian Court at noon on Saturday at Whitenight Field.
