STROUDSBURG, Pa, -- The East Stroudsburg University softball team split Saturday's doubleheader against Adelphi, falling in game one 2-1 before bouncing back to take the second game 7-2.

Game 1

Recording hits for the Warriors were Delaney Ridgell and Kinsley Proepper. Despite the loss, Sarah Davenport struck out 12 batters.

Ridgell opened the game with a homer to left field before Adelphi scored two runs on four hits in the sixth inning.

Game 2

Ridgell went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate and scored three runs, while Megan Chroniger hit a homer and batted in four runs in ESU's 7-2 win. Also recording hits were Tulana Mingin, Maddin Grow, Kinsley Proepper, and Georgia Tym

In the bottom of the first, Mingin drew a walk and advanced to second on Grow's single. Both players stole a base, and Mingin later scored on a catcher's error. Ridgell singled through the right side and then scored on Proepper's RBI double to right field. The bases became loaded after Master drew a walk and Kaitlynn Colangelo was hit by pitch, however the final out left all stranded.
