Men’s Track and Field Earns Seven PSAC Qualifying Marks at Keystone Challenge

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. -- The East Stroudsburg University men's track and field team opened the outdoor season at the Keystone Challenge, earning seven automatic PSAC qualifying marks. 

PSAC Qualifiers 

Track Highlights 

Nico Gasque placed third in the 200m with an automatic PSAC qualifying time of 21.77 which ranks tenth all-time. Gasque also placed sixth in the 400m with a time of 49.84.  

Mark Jackson placed fourth in the 200m with a 21.93 time and second in the 400m with a automatic PSAC qualifying time of 47.73. His time in the 400m is tied for fourth all-time in program history.  

Raqeeb Somoye placed seventh in the 200m (22.02) and took second in the 110m hurdles with an automatic PSAC qualifying time of 14.94. 

Lucas Thaler placed fifth in the 800m (2:03.03) and eighth in the 1500m (4:13.50). Ethan Holcomb placed fifth in the 1500m with a time of 4:09.17 while Landon Boyle placed seventh with a 4:11.68 time. 

Field Highlights 

Jalen Cook and Peter Stanislavsky finished first and second in the high jump, each earning PSAC qualifying and NCAA provisional marks after clearing 2.05m (6-08.75).

In the pole vault, Chris Costa finished fourth with an automatic PSAC qualifying mark of 4.55m (14-11).

Albert Morton took sixth in the long jump with a mark of 6.82m (22-04.50) and placed eighth in the high jump at 1.80m (5-10.75).

Nasir Heard won the triple jump with a mark of 14.05m (46-01.25), earning a PSAC qualifying mark. Jaden Johnson followed with a third place finish at 13.75m (45-01.50).

Jalen Gaymon placed seventh (14.66m, 48-01.25) in the shot put, eighth in the discus (40.15m, 131-09), and eighth in the hammer throw (42.87m, 140-08).

The Warriors will return to action next weekend at the Danny Curan Invitational and Monmouth Opener.
