3/23/2026 10:42:00 AM

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. — The ESU women's lacrosse team got another boost in the national rankings this week, moving up to fourth and ninth in polls from USA Lacrosse and the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaching Association (IWLCA).

The Warriors were previously ranked 10th by IWLCA, the official poll used for team rankings, jumping Saint Leo to move up one spot. ESU moved ahead of Maryville and Indianapolis to improve from sixth to fourth, trailing only Flagler, Florida Southern, and Slippery Rock.

ESU is one of four remaining undefeated teams in Division II, winning all nine of its contests this season. The Warriors are in the midst of their second-best winning streak to open a season and third-longest overall in program history. ESU has dominated its opponents, scoring 20 goals or more four times while keeping each of its opponents below 10 goals. The Warriors have the best average margin of victory in Division II, winning their games by 13.6 GPG as they've scored 19.1 GPG and allowed 5.5 GPG.

The Warriors have one of their toughest tests of the season coming up this week, as they host No. 10 West Chester at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, at Whitenight Field.
