NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. — Wrapping up the non-conference section of their schedule with a 5-0 record and three wins over ranked opponents, the Warriors entered the top 10 in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) poll.
ESU jumped two spots from 12
th to 10
th this week after a 24-9 drubbing of No. 14 Adelphi, the most goals scored and largest margin of victory ever for the Warriors against a ranked team. The win was ESU's third over a top-25 opponent, with all three being by double-digit goal margins.
The Warriors head into PSAC play on a tear, as they cruised through non-conference competition. With a perfect 5-0 record, the Warriors lead Division II in a handful of categories, like scoring offense (19.6 GPG), scoring margin (14.0 GPG), have had the second-best save percentage (.600), and the third-best scoring defense (5.6 GPG). ESU takes on No. 17 Kutztown next on the road at 3 p.m. this Wednesday for its first conference game of the season.
