Men’s Track and Field Dominates All-American Meet with 13 Wins; Voto Sets School Record in Hammer

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. -- East Stroudsburg University's men's track and field team won 13 events and added 11 more PSAC automatic qualifiers at the All-American Meet, highlighted by Anthony Voto's school-record performance in the hammer throw.

PSAC Qualifiers  

Track Events 

Miguel Charlery won both the 100m and 200m, earning PSAC qualifying marks in both events. He posted times of 10.81 in the 100m and 21.74 in the 200m.

Chase Temple claimed the 400m title in 49.52.

Raqeeb Somoye won the 400m hurdles with automatic PSAC qualifying time of 56.56 and also placed third in the 110m hurdles.

The 4x400m relay team of Morrison, Gasque, Stank, and Heard finished first with a time of 42.02.

Field Events 

Jalen Cook won the high jump with an automatic PSAC qualifying mark of 2.10m (6-10 ¾), which also met NCAA provisional standards. His mark is now tied for second all-time and matched the meet record.

Daniel Smith placed second in the high jump with an automatic PSAC mark of 1.95m (6-4 ¾). He also won the long jump with a mark of 7.09m (23-3 ¼) and captured the triple jump with a mark of 14.67m (48-1 ¾), both automatic qualifiers.

Nasir Heard and Peter Stanislavsky also earned automatic PSAC qualifying marks in the long jump with their respective second and third place finishes.  

Chris Costa took second in the pole vault after clearing 4.70m (15-5), which is tied for eighth all-time and is an automatic PSAC qualifying mark. 

In the triple jump, five Warriors recorded PSAC qualifying marks. Smith won the event, followed by Jayden Brown in second (14.46m, 47-4 ¼), Stanislavsky in third (14.28m, 46-10 ¼), Heard in fourth (14.17m, 46-6), and Jaden Johnson in sixth (13.83m, 45-4 ½).

Anthony Voto won all three of his events, earning PSAC qualifying marks in each and an NCAA provisional mark in the hammer throw. His throw of 66.77m (219-1) broke the school, meet, and stadium records.

Jalen Gaymon placed fourth in the shot put with an automatic PSAC mark of 15.15m (49-8 ½), ninth in the discus (38.64m, 126-9), and 13th in the hammer (44.05m, 144-6).

Luke Stevenosky won the javelin with an automatic PSAC qualifying mark of 63.90m (209-8), while Joseph Roth also recorded a PSAC mark with a throw of 58.29m (191-3).
