SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. — Jalen Cook's record-breaking high jump performance highlighted day two of the 2026 PSAC Outdoor Championships, as he surpassed a conference mark that had stood since 1989. Peter Stanislavsky earned two All-PSAC honors, while the East Stroudsburg University men's track & field team recorded six podium finishes and advanced seven to the finals.
Track Highlights
The 4x100m relay team consisting of Michael Stank, Miguel Charlery, Nico Gasque, and Jaylen Morrison qualified for the finals with a time of 41.42, which ranks seventh all-time.
Raqeeb Somoye placed eighth in the 110m hurdles, running 14.93 to advance to the finals. Somoye also qualified for the 400m hurdles, finishing in 55.08.
In the 400m, both Jayden Johnson and Mark Jackson posted qualifying times. Johnson won his heat with the second-fastest overall time of 48.12, while Jackson recorded the sixth-fastest time at 49.29.
Nico Gasque qualified for the finals in both the 100m and 200m. His 100m time of 10.53 ranks third all-time, while his 200m time of 21.34 ranks fourth in program history.
Field Highlights
Jalen Cook delivered a standout performance in the high jump, clearing 2.19m (7 feet, 2 1/4 inches). His mark broke the PSAC record of 2.18m set in 1989 and the meet record of 2.15m set in 1996. He is currently tied for second in Division II.
Peter Stanislavsky earned two All-PSAC honors with third-place finishes in both the high jump and long jump. He posted an NCAA provisional mark of 2.07m (6 feet, 9 1/2 inches) in the high jump and recorded 7.27m (23 feet, 10 1/4 inches) in the long jump.
Jaden Johnson added a podium finish in the high jump, tying for sixth with a mark of 1.91m (6 feet, 3 1/4 inches).
Daniel Smith and Nasir Heard also earned podium finishes in the long jump, placing fourth and sixth, respectively. Smith recorded 7.24m (23 feet, 9 inches), while Heard posted 7.21m (23 feet, 8 inches).
