INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The East Stroudsburg University softball team was ranked second in the NCAA Atlantic Regional Rankings, released in numerical order for the second time this season.
At the time of the release, the Warriors sit at 33-17 and are one of seven PSAC teams featured in the rankings. The Warriors are seeded third in the east and will face Slippery Rock, the second seed in the west, on the opening day of the PSAC Softball Tournament at 5:00 p.m. on May 6.
The NCAA regional rankings ultimately determine the team's selected to the NCAA DII Softball Tournament. Wednesday marked the second set of numerical regional rankings released by the NCAA, with the selection show taking place Monday, May 11 at 10:00 a.m.
