NEW ORLEANS, La. – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced Monday that the East Stroudsburg University men's and women's track & field programs have been recognized as USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams, while nine Warriors earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors.
Among the honorees were
Jayden Brown (Marketing),
Daniel Smith (Accounting),
Peter Stanislavsky (Physical Education),
Luke Stevenosky (Criminal Justice),
Anthony Voto (Sport Management),
Zianna Dobson (Computer Security),
Aina Galan (Physics),
Gabriela Pifano (Criminal Justice), and
Riley Trentowski (Psychology).
The ESU men's team posted a cumulative 3.22 GPA, while the women's team recorded a 3.39 cumulative GPA to earn All-Academic Team recognition.
To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete status for track & field, individuals must have compiled a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.25 or higher and finished the season among the top 50 individuals as listed on the descending order lists on the Track & Field Results Reporting System (TFRRS). Individuals on a relay that was among the top 35 (or the Top 35 expanded team relay list) are also eligible, along with any athletes not among the top 50 but who participated at the indoor or outdoor national championships.
