EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. — After completing one of the most decorated careers in East Stroudsburg University history, the women's volleyball program has announced that Anna Coulter will join the team as an assistant coach. 

Coulter is a three-time PSAC East Athlete of the Year, four-time All-PSAC East First Team selection, an AVCA All-American, a D2CCA and AVCA Regional Player of the Year, and has won 13 PSAC East weekly awards throughout her career. Academically, Coulter is a two-time CSC Academic All-American and was named the 2025-26 PSAC Pete Nevins Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year, the highest honor the PSAC awards.  

"I am very excited to work with this team in a different way and to continue to build on the program that I care about so much", Coulter said. "Thank you, John, for giving me the opportunity to learn and grow, and I am excited to see what these girls can do in the future."  

She holds the program records in all-time blocks (518) and in all-time attack percentage (.370). She totaled 1,845 points throughout her career and ranks third in all-time kills with 1,364. Coulter led the team to its sixth PSAC Championship in program history in 2025 and was named the PSAC Tournament MVP. 

"Having Anna transition into this new role is a huge benefit to the program. She's made the transition to ESU much easier for me with her knowledge of the school, the team, and the conference," first-year head coach John Forman said.

As the assistant coach, Coulter will support all aspects of recruiting while also coordinating and managing summer camps. She will assist with practice planning, equipment organization, team logistics, and other day-to-day responsibilities.  

Before becoming an assistant coach, Coulter spent a semester as a graduate assistant for the volleyball team, where she assisted in practice planning, social media, and learned about the college recruiting process. She was also a game operations graduate assistant this past year, where she assisted with the setup and teardown of athletic events, sold tickets and merchandise, and controlled music, scoreboards, and clocks at home games. Throughout her time at ESU, she was also a student worker in the athletic department, where she assisted in game operations for all home sporting events. 

She graduated from ESU in 2025 with a bachelor's degree in Sport Management and completed her master's degree the following year in Sport Administration.
