EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The East Stroudsburg University women's soccer team opened the 2026 season with a 2-1 victory over the Millersville Marauders on Saturday afternoon at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
This win marked the first career victory for first-year head coach
Tayler Jamison.
Sophia Lowery and
Alexis McRoberts both recorded two shots on goal, while
Kali O'Connell and
Jade Wiley added one apiece.
Ava Perrone played all 90:00 minutes in goal and recorded 10 saves, including seven in the first half.
The Marauders held a 22-8 advantage in total shots, with 11 of their attempts being on goal.
Wiley scored the first goal of the game and seventh of her career at the 12:24 minute mark to give the Warriors an early 1-0 lead. McRoberts added to the lead at the 55:36 minute mark, scoring her first collegiate goal to put ESU ahead 2-0.
Millersville responded with a late goal at the 89:36 mark, but the Warriors held on in the final seconds to secure the victory.
