Graduate Student (2026): All-PSAC East First Team goalkeeper... Concluded career ranked third in program history in all-time saves... Went 14-0 with 109 saves for a .586 save percentage and 6.63 goals against average... played 697:12... Helped ESU rank third in Division II in save percentage and ninth in scoring defense... Made seven stops on 10 shots on goal in season opener against Seton Hill (Feb. 14)... Had first of three games this season with double-digit saves at Indiana (Pa.), making 12 stops and only allowing four goals (Feb. 25)... Stopped 17 of 23 shots on goal at Shippensburg for a season-high in saves (March 21)... Made 11 saves at Shepherd, would be named PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week for the sixth time in her career, setting the program record (April 18).
Senior (2025): A dominant force in the cage and the heart of the Warriors' defense, Abby Simonetti closed her career with a legacy-defining season. She was named PSAC Defensive Player of the Year, earning First Team East All-PSAC, First Team IWLCA All-Region, and prestigious national honors as a USA Lacrosse First Team All-American and IWLCA Second Team All-American, marking her second career All-America selection.
Simonetti started all 21 games, logging over 1,228 minutes with 246 total saves on 564 shots faced, finishing with a .560 save percentage and a 9.42 goals against average. She posted a season-best 18 saves in a key road win at Shippensburg (Mar. 29), and consistently made critical stops throughout the Warriors’ postseason run. She also contributed 43 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers, including a season-high 6 ground balls in her final appearance against Slippery Rock (May 10).
Simonetti’s blend of poise, grit, and clutch play not only anchored ESU’s defense en route to the NCAA DII Atlantic Region Semifinal, but also solidified her place among the program’s all-time greats.
Junior (2024): Named IWLCA Division II Goalkeeper of the Year, NCAA Division II Women's Lacrosse Championship All-Tournament Team, IWLCA All-America First Team, IWLCA All-Atlantic Region First Team, All-PSAC East Second Team… participated in all 21 games… recorded 10 wins during the season… totaled 238 saves for a saving percentage of .598… career-high 27 saves as a Warrior against Kutztown (5/4)… helped the Warriors win NCAA DII Atlantic Region Championship.
