BALTIMORE, Md. - East Stroudsburg University has signed a five-year contract with Under Armour (NYSE: UA) as the exclusive outfitter of Warriors athletics beginning July 1, 2017, it was announced Thursday.

ESU officials, including President Marcia G. Welsh, Ph.D., and Director of Athletics Josh Looney, attended an event at Under Armour headquarters in Baltimore to sign the contract and usher in the latest chapter for ESU athletics.

The department-wide agreement is the first of its kind for ESU and features custom uniforms, practice gear and team apparel for the Warriors' 20 varsity sports. In addition to significant financial benefits for the university and a variety of incentives to award championship teams and student-athletes, ESU also gains access to co-branded marketing opportunities with Under Armour.

"We are thrilled to partner the new ESU Warriors brand with Under Armour," said Looney. "Our new athletics logos and marks continue to create new competitive advantages for our coaches and student-athletes since they were unveiled in January. Paired with the rollout of our new brand, we believe our partnership with Under Armour equates to one of the most unique apparel deals in NCAA Division II."

In addition, BSN Sports, headquartered in Dallas, Texas, will be the official supplier of ESU athletics and will service the university's agreement with Under Armour, along with providing equipment solutions for the athletic department.

"We are excited to partner with ESU and Under Armour in elevating the performance and impact of their athletics program," said Terry Babilla, president of BSN SPORTS. "This strategic partnership provides the finest apparel and athletic products to the Warriors athletic teams and benefits each student-athlete on the athletic field or court. We are proud to be their partner, and pleased that we can elevate the student-athlete experience."
