EDINBORO, Pa. – Sophomore
Casey Ellis placed 26th out 127 runners, receiving second team All-PSAC accolades for a second-straight year to lead East Stroudsburg University at the 2018 PSAC Championships on Saturday.
The Warrior men placed eighth out 15 schools overall in the men's 8k race, while the women were 12th out of 17 in their 6k competition.
Ellis completed Edinboro's course in a time of 28:06, which is an average mile time of 5:39. He has been ESU's No. 1 scorer in each of its five meets this season, and repeats as an all-conference honoree after finishing 23rd in the 2017 championship race at California.
Following Ellis was sophomore
Teddy Mostellar (44th, 28:45), junior
Andy Lopez (48th, 28:54), senior
Tom Ciaccio (49th, 29:02) and sophomore
Nathan Senatore (53rd, 29:09). Ciaccio scored at PSAC's for a second year in a row, while the other three Warriors each cracked the top five for the first time at the conference meet.
Host Edinboro topped the men's standings with a total of 41 points, beating out second-place Shippensburg by 19. West Chester's Josh Coakley was the number one individual finisher with a time of 26:47.
Junior
Rachael Davalos paced the ESU women's finishers for the first time this fall, as she crossed the line at 25:54 in 41st place. Junior teammate

Brittany Carratura (60th, 26:30), freshman
Kylie Stangle (68th, 26:42) and junior
Emily Eder (82nd, 27:04) rounded out the scorers.
The Warriors lost three of their PSAC scorers from a year ago, including two departed seniors in
Kaylyn West and
Samantha Young who placed 15th and 17th, respectively, at last year's conference race.
Shippensburg (73 points) edged Edinboro (76) by three points to claim the women's PSAC title. California's Alicia Belko (23:20) and Alyson Pierce (23:53) were the top two individual finishers.
Select ESU runners will travel to Lock Haven's River Run meet next Saturday, while others will gear up for the 2018 Division II Atlantic Regional competition, hosted by Slippery Rock on Saturday, Nov. 17.
