EAST STROUDSBURG – The East Stroudsburg University women's tennis returned home on Friday to host Edinboro in a non-conference matchup at Wolbers Courts. The Fighting Scots recorded a 6-1 victory against the Warriors.
ESU (0-4) looked to even the match at the No. 2 doubles position before dropping a 6-4 decision and heading into singles competition down 1-0 to the Fighting Scots.
The tandem of senior
Aubrianna Stetina and junior
Amanda Jackson battled at the No. 2 position in doubles action for ESU. The Pair dropped a 6-4 decision against the Fighting Scots after Edinboro recorded a 6-0 victory at the No. 1 position.
In singles action, senior
Ivanna Pittman looked to get ESU on the board after dropping a close first set, 6-4. Pittman would fall 7-5 in the second set as Edinboro took a 2-0 lead in the match.
Junior
Quinn McCluskey fell 6-0, 6-1 at the No. 2 position for the Warriors, while senior
Marina Zardet was forced to retire in her match at the No. 1 spot after dropping the first set 7-5 and trailing 5-4 in the second set.

Briana Young tallied the lone point for the Warriors in the match via forfeit by the Fighting Scots at the No. 6 singles position.
The Warriors host Mercyhurst in a non-conference matchup on Saturday morning at Wolbers Courts beginning at 11 a.m. ESU closes the fall portion of its schedule at Holy Family on Oct. 15 at 3 p.m.
