BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Me'Saj Closs and Tiana Webster each posted a pair of first-place showings to lead the East Stroudsburg University women's track & field team at the Moravian Invitational on Saturday at Lehigh University's Rauch Fieldhouse.

Closs won both events she competed in on Saturday, taking first place in the weight throw and shot put. The senior posted a new PR of 54-11 ¼ in the weight throw, while Barbara Grossov finished in second place with a PR of 46-2 ½. Closs and Grossov are two of six Warriors who have previously qualified for PSACs in the event this season. In the shot put, Closs' toss of 41-1 earned her the top-showing, while Olivia Ellzy finished in third with a PR of 40-1 ¼. Both Closs and Ellzy previously qualified for PSACs in the shot put as well.

Webster took the top spot in both the 60m and 200m races, two events which she already previously posted PSAC qualifying times in earlier this season. Webster clocked a 7.95 in the 60m, while her time of 26.58 in the 200m was a season-best. Morgan Dey, who also has already qualified for PSACs in the 60m, clocked a time of 7.96 to finish in second in the event.

The other first-place finish for the Warriors at the meet came in the 4x400m relay, as the team of Jeanette Jones, Allyson Stitzer, Misha Duverger and Ariel Kyle combined for a time of 4:16.46 to earn the top spot.

ESU had a pair of athletes become new PSAC qualifiers on Saturday. Gianna Gomez registered a PR of 34-9 ½ to take third place in the triple jump, as she joins Tatiana Williams and Kamya Edmonds as qualifiers in the event. Brittany Carratura also notched a PSAC qualifying time of 2:25.93 in the 800m, becoming the first Warrior to qualify in the event this season.

In the 60m hurdles, Jones' time of 9.62 earned her a fourth-place showing. Her season-best time of 9.41 set during the first meet of the year earned her a PSAC qualifying bid in the event.

The pole vault saw Hannah Frankenfield post a mark of 10-6 to tie her season-best, which is also a PSAC qualifying mark.

Jenna Vledder was the team's top finisher in the mile, crossing the line in 5:37.64 to set a new PR. Gianna Gomez also notched a PR in the long jump with a leap of 16-6 ½.

ESU's next meet is the Gulden Invitational hosted by Bucknell next Saturday, January 25.
