SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The East Stroudsburg University men's wrestling program recorded a pair of victories against Shippensburg and American International on Saturday afternoon at Heiges Field House on the campus of Shippensburg. The Warriors also dropped a decision against Belmont Abbey.
ESU (3-6, 2-3 PSAC) opened the day with a 28-12 victory against PSAC foe Shippensburg and closed with a 39-17 victory against American International. The Warriors dropped their middle match of the day against Belmont Abbey, 28-20.
Redshirt senior
Mike Raccioppi finished the day 3-0 and remained undefeated on the season for ESU. Raccioppi opened with a pin against Shippensburg's Colton Babcock in 3:12 and pinned Belmont Abbey's Andrew Pegram in 1:23. Raccioppi closed the day at 184 pounds with a 20-2 tech fall against Isaiah Collins from American International.
Senior
Elliot Riddick also went 3-0 on the afternoon as he tallied a pair of pins and one tech fall victory. He would record a pin in 2:00 against Austin Klucker from Shippensburg and follow with a 19-4 tech fall against Logan Branham from Belmont Abbey. Riddick closed the day at 197 pounds with a pin of American International's Raul Martinez in 2:00.
ESU would record wins at 133, 141, 157, and 165 against the Raiders as junior
Nick Conetta tallied a 6-5 decision. Freshman
Matthew Rosa followed with a pin in 2:46 at 141 pounds for the Warriors. The Warriors would go on to win four consecutive bouts against Shippensburg as junior
Marquan Payne notched a 12-1 major decision victory. Freshman
Nick Weikel followed with a 4-2 decision against Shippensburg's Drake Brenzie.

Nick Nittoli would each notch victories against American International as Weikel earned a 10-2 major decision against Ahmad Sharif. Nittoli pinned Alex Britos in just 37 seconds. The Warriors would be victorious in three bouts via forfeit (133, 141, 174).
The Warriors rallied against Belmont Abbey in their second match of the day but would fall short after trailing 28-0 entering the 174-pound bout. Following wins by Raccioppi and Riddick, freshman
Clayton Green pinned Brian Girard in 5:58 to trim the gap to 28-17. Nittoli recorded a 10-1 decision against Michael Siwiec to close the match.
ESU closes the regular-season portion of its schedule with a pair of home duals against PSAC foes Seton Hill and Kutztown on February 11 and 19. The NCAA Super Region I Tournament will be held on February 29 in Erie, Pa.
