Lakeem McAliley Earns PSAC Weekly Honors for Second Consecutive Week

On the week, McAliley made 64.3 percent of his field goal attempts, scoring 39 points and grabbing 14 rebounds in just 32 minutes of a work.

EAST STROUDSBURG -- After earning PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week last week, the conference announced on Monday afternoon that Lakeem McAliley has been named the PSAC East Athlete of the Week after impressive performances in limited minutes this week.

In just 22 minutes against Molloy, McAliley posted a season-best 29 points on 13-of-21 shooting. Off the glass, he grabbed nine rebounds, registering two blocks and five steals. His 29-point output was the most for a Warrior since the 2018-19 season.

Despite getting into foul trouble early, the Philadelphia native still reached double-figures in scoring in just 10 minutes of action against Georgian Court. McAliley shot an efficient 5-of-7 from the floor, grabbing five rebounds and earning a steal.

In seven games this season, McAliley leads ESU in scoring (15.3 ppg), ranks second in field goal percentage (.556), first in 3-point field goal percentage (.471), third in rebounds per game (5.1), third in steals (16) and first in blocks (9), all while playing the sixth most minutes on the team (19.6 minutes per game).

Last week, McAliley was tabbed the PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week after leading the Warriors on both defense and offense, averaging a team-best 17 points on 14-of-28 (50%) shooting from the field. Defensively, the Philadelphia native posted an impressive seven blocks against Seton Hill, the most by a Warrior since Channon Easley's school-record eight blocks in 2005 against West Chester.

McAliley and the Warriors bring a four-game winning streak out west, battling Edinboro and No. 3 Mercyhurst in its final contests of the calendar year.
