HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – The East Stroudsburg University men's wrestling team competed at Centenary's Bob Quade Cyclone Open on Sunday and had three place finishers which included junior Matthew Rosa in second, freshman Luke Ciampa taking third and freshman Brian Lombardi coming in fourth.
Wrestling at 157 pounds, Rosa was the runner-up after finishing the day 3-1 with fall against Lackawanna's Kordell Waiters in 3:50, a pin over Middlesex's George Korvalidze in 2:06 and a 15-9 decision over unattached Jasiah Queen.
Ciampa also had an impressive day at 157 pounds for the Warriors going 4-1 with two falls and a major decision to earn a third place finish.
Lombardi finished the open 4-2 at 141 pounds after beginning the day with three straight victories which included two decisions and a fall against Union's Antonio Arroyo in 2:12.
