Women’s Track & Field Claims Five First-Place Finishes at 15th Annual All-American Meet

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The East Stroudsburg women's track and field team claimed five event wins on Saturday at the 15th annual All-American Meet held at Eiler-Martin Stadium.

Running Highlights
Graduate transfer Carly Danoski continues to impressive as she took first in the 1500m with a personal-best time of 4:52.34 while senior Brittany Carratura finished third after clocking a time of 4:58.05.

Jeanette Jones paced the Warriors in the 100m hurdles with a first place finish after running a time of 15.30 seconds and Andrea Jackson (16.70) took third while Jacklyn Spaccaforno (16.85) was fourth.

Graduate student Tiana Webster took care of business in the 100m dash as she took first with a season-best time of 12.18 seconds.

In the 400m hurdles, the Warriors earned the 2-5 finishers with Sarah Guthrie (1:09.94) as the runner-up, Spaccaforno (1:10.11) in third, Misha Duverger (1:10.36) was fourth and Jackson (1:10.81) took fifth.

In the 4x100m relay, the Warriors group of Ariel Kyle, Tiana Webster, Jeanette Jones and Misha Duverger took first after clocking a time of 49.74 seconds. ESU took second in the 4x400m relay as Kyle, Guthrie, Jones and Danoski clocked a time of 4:06.87.

The Warriors opened the day with second and third places finishes in the 5000m as Amanda Fine was the runner-up a with a time of 19:06.91 and Keely Arndt was right behind after running a time of 19:02.92.

Freshman Ariel Kyle took third in the 400m dash after clocking a personal-best time of 1:00.94.  

Field Highlights
Junior Juliana Schraer highlighted the field events for the Warriors with a first place finish in the pole vault after clearing the bar at 3.20m.

In the hammer throw, freshmen Madison Horahan and Elizabeth Makar took fourth and fifth with personal-best throws of 44.37m and 44.00m, respectively. Horahan's mark is also a new freshman record.

The Warriors had the 3-5 finishers in the discus as Makar (38.05m) was third, Horahan (35.84m) took fourth and Isabella Marte finished fifth with a throw of 35.19m.

In the shot put, ESU finished second through fifth with Makar leading the way as the runner-up with a throw od 13.43m. Barbara Grossov (12.05m) was third, Horahan (11.96m) took fourth and Marte (11.67m) rounded out the group in fifth.

Freshman Janelle Foston took third in the triple jump with a leap of 10.41m and went on to finish fourth in the long jump with a mark of 4.96m.

The Warriors are back in action next Saturday as they head to Shippensburg to compete in the Paul Kaiser Classic which gets underway at 8:30 a.m. from Seth Grove Stadium.
