SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The East Stroudsburg University women's track and field team advanced five individuals as well as their 4x100m relay team to the finals in their respective events as they wrapped up competition on day two of the 2021 PSAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Shippensburg.

In the team standings, the Warriors are currently tied for 13th place out of 15 schools with seven points headed into the final day of the championships.

ESU started their afternoon on the track by posting the sixth fastest time in the 4x100m relay prelims to earn a qualifying spot in tomorrow's finals. Ariel Kyle, Tiana Webster, Jeanette Jones and Misha Duverger clocked a season-best time of 49.04 seconds for the Warriors.

Jones would come back to qualify for the Warriors in the 100m hurdles by winning her heat and finishing with the third best time at 15.38 seconds.

Kyle returned to the track to qualify in the 400m as she delivered a personal-best run of 58.88m.

Webster qualified for the 100m finals for the fourth time in her career as she clocked the second fastest time in her heat and fourth overall at 12.19 seconds.

Graduate student Carly Danoski continued her impressive spring with the Warriors as she qualified for the finals in the 800m after running the second-fastest time in program history at 2:15.72. Junior Brittany Carratura also punched her ticket as she captured the final qualifying spot with the ninth quickest time in school history at 2:18.03.

Freshman Elizabeth Makar paced the Warriors in the discus with a 10th place finish as she recorded a throw of 36.23m.

Due to inclement weather, the 400m hurdles and 200m will be run tomorrow as timed finals at their originally schedule times.

The Warriors return to Shippensburg on Saturday for the final day of the 2021 PSAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Field events get underway at 11:00 a.m. while running events begin at 12:30 p.m.
