SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The East Stroudsburg University women's track and field team earned a 10th place finish with 47.5 points to wrap up the 2021 PSAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday at Shippensburg.
Elizabeth Makar highlighted the day for the Warriors with a runner-up finish in the shot put to earn all-conference honors. The freshman recorded a throw of 13.12m on her fourth attempt.
ESU kicked off the afternoon with a ninth place finish in the 4x100m relay.
Ariel Kyle,
Tiana Webster,
Jeanette Jones and
Misha Duverger ran a season-best time of 49.17 seconds.
Jones returned to the track following a weather delay to take eighth in the 100m hurdles with a time of 19.52. Later on in the meet, the junior finished seventh in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:07.19. Kyle came back to run the 400m which she took eighth in after clocking a time of 1:00.29.
Webster would then finish fifth in the final 100m race of her career with a time of 12.25 seconds. She came back to run in the 200m which she took sixth in after clocking a time 25.95 seconds.
In the 800m,
Carly Danoski took third to secure all-conference honors with a time of 2:17.21 and junior
Brittany Carratura was sixth after finishing in 2:21.27.
Senior
Rachael Davalos scored for the Warriors in the 1500m as she finished seventh with a personal-best time of 4:55.12. The Stroudsburg, Pa. was back on the track for the 5000m where she took eighth with a personal-best time of 18:41.1.
In the pole vault, sophomore
Hannah Frankenfield paced the Warriors in sixth place as she matched her season-best height of 3.43m. Fellow sophomore
Juliana Schraer took ninth with after clearing 3.28m.
The Warriors wrapped up the afternoon with by taking fifth in the 4x400m rely. Carratura, Danoski, Jones and Kyle combined to run a season-best time of 4:01.52.
