EAST STROUDSBURG – The awards keep rolling in for East Stroudsburg University softball senior pitcher Marah Range, as she was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District 2 Team, the organization announced on Thursday afternoon.

Range, the PSAC East Pitcher of the Year and all-region selection from D2CCA (1st Team) and NFCA (2nd Team), continues to take home hardware. In the classroom, the sociology major posted a 3.88 cumulative GPA, qualifying for dean's list all four semesters at ESU since transferring from Sacramento City College. She earned athletic director's honor roll and PSAC Scholar-Athlete status twice during her tenure in the Poconos.

In the circle, Range led the PSAC with 114 strikeouts, posting a 2.96 ERA while recording a 15-7 record. Her 15 wins in a season ranks second all-time in school history, while her strikeout total is fifth among all Warrior pitchers during a single campaign. ESU's first-ever PSAC East Pitcher of the Year led the Warriors to its third NCAA Tournament in school history, an Atlantic Region runner-up finish and its first-ever NFCA Coaches Poll national ranking (#24). As a team, ESU tied the program record for wins in a season (29) and shattered records for home wins (20) and conference wins (17).

Range becomes the seventh Warrior softball student-athlete to be named CoSIDA All-District, the first honoree since Mary Wallick in 2018. Range looks to become the third CoSIDA Academic All-American in program history. The Academic All-America team will be announced in late July.

The CoSIDA Academic All-District and Academic All-America teams recognize student-athletes for athletic and academic achievements and are nominated and voted on by members of CoSIDA. District 2 of Division II follows the NCAA's regional model and includes all schools from the PSAC, MEC (Mountain East Conference) and CIAA (Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association).

She becomes the second Warrior this spring to earn CoSIDA All-District, joining ESU men's soccer junior Juan Carlos.
