NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – On Tuesday afternoon, the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced its annual academic honors for the 2021 season. East Stroudsburg University earned IWLCA Academic Honor Squad status and eight Warriors were named to the IWLCA Division II Academic Honor Roll.
The Warriors, who posted a 12-4 overall record and advanced to the NCAA Semifinals for the second time in program history in 2021, posted a team cumulative GPA of 3.547 GPA during the 2020-21 academic year. The IWLCA has named 319 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA as IWLCA Academic Honor Squads for the 2020-21 academic year. To qualify for this prestigious honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.
Additionally, eight Warriors were selected to the IWLCA Division II Academic Honor Roll. Honorees include Chelsea Allie (Exercise Science), Hana Cicerelle (Public Health), Brielle Curtis (Public Health/Business Administration), Shannon Dent (Communications Sciences and Disorders/Psychology), Madison Mulligan (Management and Leadership Organizational Behavior), Tatyana Petteway (Management and Leadership Organizational Behavior), Kayleigh Pokrivka (Nursing) and Brooke Rickey (Physics/Mathematics).
The IWLCA honored 442 student-athletes from 73 different institutions on the 2021 IWLCA Division II Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
