AUSTIN, Texas – East Stroudsburg University senior Teddy Mostellar was named to the Academic All-America Third-Team for Men's Track & Field/Cross Country on Wednesday by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

The Stroudsburg, Pa. native becomes the 14th student-athlete in men's track and field/cross country program history to be named to an Academic All-American team and the first since Alex Zubko in 2017.

Since the beginning of the Academic All-America program in 1979, the Warriors have now had 54 student-athletes earn a total of 75 awards.

Mostellar graduated this past spring with a 3.95 GPA while majoring in athletic training. He was named to the Dean's List eight times, AD Honor Roll on four occasions and was a PSAC Scholar Athlete all four years.

In July, he earned his first Academic All-District selection and became the 16th student athlete in men's track and field/cross country program history to receive those honors.

Mostellar put together an impressive spring season for ESU in both cross country and on the track. The senior was the Warriors No. 2 runner at the PSAC Cross Country Championships, finishing 23rd overall to earn All-PSAC Second Team honors. On the track, Mostellar finished seventh in the 3000m steeplechase at the PSAC Championships and also competed in the 1500m, 5000m and 10,000m over the course of the season.
