LOCK HAVEN – East Stroudsburg University field hockey senior midfielder Lia Parker has been honored as the PSAC Athlete of the Week, announced by the league office on Tuesday.
Parker totaled five points in a 2-0 week for the Warriors as she produced two goals and an assist. The senior assisted on a goal in ESU's victory over West Chester and followed it up with a pair of scores in the Warriors' route of Frostburg State.
This season, Parker is fourth on the team with 16 points, tied for third in assists (4) and fourth in goals (6).
The East Stroudsburg, Pa. native receives the Athlete of the Week honors for the first time in her ESU career and is also the fourth Warrior this year to receive a weekly award (Olivia Breen – Sept. 6, Madison Kline – Sept. 27, Amy Supey – Oct. 18).
The top-ranked Warriors travel to #3 Kutztown as the teams battle for the top spot in the PSAC standings at 7 p.m. from Andre Reed Stadium.
