STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Ryan Ditty became the 16th East Stroudsburg University men's track and field athlete to record a PSAC automatic qualifying mark this season as the Warriors competed at the FastTrack National Invitational on Friday at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
After lowering his time every week in the 400m, Ditty finished in 57.78 to notch a conference mark by .02 seconds.
Running Highlights
In the 60m hurdles invite, Caleb Carney and Daniel Daley missed the finals after clocking the 16th and 17th fastest times in the prelims, however Carney ran a personal-best time of 8.73.
In the other section of the 60m hurdles, Ivan Hicks finished as the runner-up with a personal-best time of 9.02 and Eric Kryzaniak was right behind in third (9.07).
After advancing to the finals in the 60m dash with a time of 7.04 in the prelims, Raul Esteves took seventh after finishing in 7.05.
On his way to finishing 20th in the mile, Luke Valedit clocked a season-best time of 4:24.39 and in 23rd was Brian McGarrity with a personal-best time of 4:25.65.
In the 400m, Tyler Boone led the way for ESU in eighth with personal-best time of 49.64, which is eighth fastest time in school history. On his way to a conference qualifying time, Ditty was 22nd and Sean Roberts just missed the mark, but bettered his time this season with a 50.84 in 24th.
Field Event Highlights
Cole Gorham notched another impressive throw in the shot on his way to fifth place finish with a mark of 15.49m.
Jack Gorham recorded a top-10 finish in the long jump, coming in ninth with a mark of 6.51m.
ESU also earned a pair of top-10 finishes in the weight throw as Isaac Almoney (15.43m) took fifth and Daryn Blackwell (14.82m) was eighth.
In the high jump, Aaron Sanchez took eighth place after clearing the bar at 1.85m while Romanley Turnier finished 10th with a mark 1.85m.
Robert Plumb cleared a personal-best height of 4.35m in the pole vault to finish seventh in the event.

The Warriors will have one final opportunity next Friday to earn PSAC automatic qualifying marks as they make their way to Kutztown for the KU Last Chance Qualifier.
