CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -- The Lehigh Valley Small College Basketball Organization held its annual awards banquet on Tuesday, as East Stroudsburg University's Carlos Pepin and Ryan Weise were each named to the LVSCBOs' Team of the Year on campus of DeSales University.

Pepin leads ESU in scoring, rebounding, field goal percentage, steals and ranks second in blocks through 22 games this season. He has posted seven double-doubles and registered the most rebounds in a single game since 1984 against Kutztown earlier this month.

As of Monday, Pepin ranks top-10 in the PSAC in defensive rebounds per game (10th, 5.64), field goal percentage (5th, 56.4%), offensive rebounds per game (5th, 2.68), rebounds per game (6th, 8.3) and steals per game (6th, 1.95).

Weise leads the Warriors in points per game, 3-pointers per game, assists and steals. The Allentown, N.J. product also ranks third on the team in rebounding. She etched her name in the ESU record book after totaling 10 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists in ESU's first triple-double in 29 years in a win over Shippensburg.

The LVSCBO is made up local Lehigh Valley NCAA Division II Institutions ESU and Kutztown, along with NCAA Division III's Cedar Crest, DeSales, Moravian and Muhlenberg.

The Player of the Year awards were renamed in 2007 in honor of Pete Nevins, ESU's sports information director from 1969-2002 and the founder of the Lehigh Valley Small College Basketball organization. DeSale's Matt Kachelries was selected as the area's Pete Nevins Men's Player of the Year, while Kutztown's Rylee Derr was honored as the LVSCBO Pete Nevin's Women's Player of the Year.

Both the ESU men and women are back in action on Wednesday, welcoming Mansfield for a doubleheader inside Koehler Fieldhouse. The women tipoff at 5:30 p.m. followed, the ESU and Mansfield men at approximately 7:30 p.m.
