KUTZTOWN – The East Stroudsburg University men's track and field team earned one final PSAC automatic qualifying mark ahead of next week's conference championships as the Warriors competed at Kutztown's Last Chance Qualifier on Friday at the O'Pake Fieldhouse.
Austin Nice became the 18th different Warrior this indoor season to notch a conference qualifying mark as he flew 6.70m in the long jump.
Another highlight of the meet for ESU was Alejandro Paez taking first place in the 800m.
Running Highlights
In the 55m, Sean Roberts was fourth after finishing in 6.73 and Nasir Kyle would take fifth in the 55m hurdles with a time of 8.39.
Zephyr Crestwell went on to finish fourth in the 400m after clocking a time of 52.47.
Paez took first place 800m with a time of 2:02.25 and Jordan Chong-Gayle finished sixth after crossing the line in 2:06.19.
On his way to a second place finish in the mile, Evan Wooby clocked a personal-best time of 4:33.99 and Koodsha Manjaro took sixth after finishing in 4:43.71.
Running in the 3000m for the first time this indoor season, Camden Shaffer finished fourth with a time of 943.53.
Field Event Highlights
While earning a conference qualifying mark in the long jump, Austin Nice took third in the event with a mark of 6.70m.
In the weight throw, Isaac Almoney finished as the runner-up with a throw of 16.10m and Daryn Blackwell took third after recording a mark of 15.86m. Freshman Cole Gorham rounded out the event for ESU in seventh with a toss of 13.58m.
The trio returned for the shot put with Gorham taking fourth at 14.94m, Almoney finishing fifth (14.78m) and Blackwell coming in ninth with a throw of 13.11m.
The pole vault results were not compiled at the time.

The Warriors will travel to Edinboro next Saturday and Sunday for the PSAC Indoor Track & Field Championships inside the Mike S. Zafirovski Sports and Recreation Dome.
