EDINBORO –The East Stroudsburg University women's track and field team wrapped up competition on the final day of the PSAC Indoor Championships by recording a pair of top-three finishes from Elizabeth Makar (shot put) and Kamya Edmonds (triple jump) at the Mike S. Zafirovski Sports and Recreation Dome.
As a team the Warriors finished ninth with 40 points while the host Edinboro claimed the team a tightly contested team title with 96 points.
Running Highlights
Jeanette Jones earned her best career finish at the conference championships in the 60m hurdles by taking sixth with a time of 9.18.
Ariel Kyle saved her best showing for the 200m finals as she took fifth after clocking a personal-best time of 26.06.
Kayla Horning, Jones, Kyle and Sierra DiCupe wrapped up the running events for ESU by taking eighth in the 4x400m with a time of 4:08.06.
Field Event Highlights
On her way to a runner-up finish in the shot put, Makar recorded a throw of 14.42m which was just 0.07m off the first place throw of 14.49m from Millersville's Aliyah Striver. Also competing in the event for ESU was Madison Horahan (12.35m) in 11th and Isabella Marte (11.25m) in 17th.
Edmonds continued her impressive stretch in the triple jump, earning a third place finish after recording a personal-best mark of 11.37m, which still ranks seventh all-time in program history.

Makar will now turn her attention to the NCAA DII Indoor Track & Field Championships on March 11 & 12 in Pittsburg, Kansas as she ranks 16th nationally in the event with a throw of 14.55m.
