After posting a career-game in his final regular season game as a Warrior, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced on Monday that senior guard Troy Jones was selected the PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week.

Jones led the Warriors with seven steals on the week in three games. In total, Jones averaged 21 points,4.3 rebounds 6.3 assists, all while shooting 58.8 percent from the field, 50 percent (8-of-16 FG) from beyond the arc and 83.3 percent from the charity stripe.

Jones began the week by providing 16 points and six assists against Lock Haven. Jones then posted 18 points and seven assists against Mansfield. Jones closed his final regular season game as a Warrior in style, registering a career-best 29 points against West Chester. He shot an impressive 10-15 from the field and grabbed six rebounds, six assists and forced three steals to lead ESU to the 100-95 win that clinched a share of the PSAC Eastern Division title and a bye in the first round of the PSAC Tournament.

Jones and the rest of the Warriors will host the winner of third-seed Shippensburg and sixth-seed Lock Haven in the PSAC Quarterfinals on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. inside Koehler Fieldhouse. The Raiders and Bald Eagles meet at SU’s Heiges Fieldhouse on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
