HAMDEN, CONN. – The East Stroudsburg University acrobatics and tumbling team made their program debut on Saturday as they competed against nationally-ranked Quinnipiac and Gannon at the People's United Center.
The Warriors (0-2) fell to #4 Quinnipiac 262.235-170.125, and to #6 Gannon 266.955-170.125.
How It Happened
- ESU opened the meet with a 23.05 in the Compulsory Event, led by an 8.80 in the Toss Heat
- In the Acro Event, the Warriors recorded a total of 19.00 as Heat 3 notched the best score at 6.90
- After notching a 22.25 in the Pyramid Event, which included an 8.50 in Heat 1, ESU went into halftime with a 64.3
- Out of the break, the Warriors tailed a 22.00 in the Toss Event, led by a 7.45 in Heat 3
- ESU totaled a 31.875 in the Tumble Event, led by an 8.25 in Heat 6
- The Warriors closed out the afternoon with a 54.950 in their first-ever Team Event
