EAST STROUDSBURG – The East Stroudsburg University acrobatics and tumbling team closed out the 2024 season in impressive fashion as the Warriors topped Caldwell by a score of 235.820-208.760 on Sunday afternoon inside Koehler Fieldhouse.

Alyssa Takacs, who were part of the team since the inaugural 2022 season.

ESU finished their third season of competition 5-5 overall, which marks the most wins in a single season for the Warriors.
How it Happened
- Opening the meet with the Compulsory, ESU totaled a score of 34.50 which included 8.80 in Acro, 9.50 in Pyramid, 8.45 in Toss and 7.75 in Tumbling.
- Shifting into the optional portion of the meet, the Warriors had a score of 9.05 in Heat 1 (5-Element), 8.90 in Heat 2 (6-Element) and 8.45 in Heat 3 (7-Element) of the Acro to register 26.40 for the event.
- In the Pyramid event, ESU notched a 9.50 in Heat 1, the inversion heat, 8.60 in heat two, the synchronized heat and 9.55 in heat three, the open heat, to finish with 27.65, bringing their running total to 88.550 at halftime.
- Following the intermission, the Warriors had scores of 7.45 (450 Salto), 7.60 (Synchronized) and 7.50 (Open), respectively to total 22.55 in the Toss Event.
- In the Tumbling Event, ESU finished with 46.950 across the six events as the Warriors notched a trio of 8.0+ scores with a 7.850 in the duo pass, a 7.550 in the trio pass, a 6.400 in the quad pass, an 8.325 in the aerial pass, an 8.775 in the 6-element pass, and an 8.050 in the open pass.
- ESU wrapped up the meet with a 77.77 in the Team event to finish with a total of 235.820.
