EAST STROUDSBURG -- The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association announced on Monday afternoon that the East Stroudsburg lacrosse team is ranked seventh in the latest ILWomen/IWLCA Poll. The Warriors were previously tied for sixth in the poll.
ESU began its season with a pair of dominant wins last week over Jefferson (18-6) and Georgian Court (17-9). In two games, the Warriors have outscored the competition by a 35-15 mark. The balanced ESU offense has five players score five-plus goals, led by
Madison Bagatta's seven goals.
Emily Mitarotonda,
McKenna Conklin and
Gianna LeDuc each posted six, while
Kiki Fitzpatrick posted five.
The Warriors return to Whitenight Field on Wednesday, when ESU hosts Caldwell at 2:00 p.m. ESU begins a four-game homestand against the Cougars and will then host IUP (March 12), Millersville (March 16) and Pace (March 19) before heading to rival West Chester on March 22.
