PEMBROKE, N.C. – After falling out of the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Top 25 a week ago, the East Stroudsburg University baseball is back to receiving votes in the Week 9 edition.
The Warriors were ranked as high as No. 12 back on March 16 and currently hold a 24-10 overall mark, with a 6-6 record in the conference. ESU has been one of the best defensive teams all season, ranking second in the PSAC and 20th nationally with a .972 fielding percentage. Baseball also ranks second in the conference in stolen bases and seventh in all of Division II with 95.
ESU is back on the road Thursday with a stop at Post for a non-conference game against the Eagles at 1 p.m. from Municipal Stadium.
