BUCKNELL – Ariel Kyle recorded a PSAC qualifying time in the 200m as the East Stroudsburg University women's track and field team concluded competition at the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic on Saturday at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium.
Kyle became the 10th different Warrior this outdoor season to notch a conference qualifying mark as she clocked a personal-best time of 25.83 in the 200m.
Running Highlights
Kyle paced the Warriors in the 200m in 21st with a conference automatic qualifying time while Duverger recorded the next best finish in 45th at 26.61. Kayla Horning (64th – 27.20), Spaccaforno (71st – 27.44), and Rhodes (85th - 27.92) also ran in the event.
Misha Duverger, Kyle, Jalen Rhodes and Kamya Edmonds clocked a season-best time of 49.33 in the 4x100m on their way to a ninth place finish in the event.
Jeanette Jones grabbed a 10th place finish in the 100m hurdles as she clocked a personal-best time of 14.67, which moved her up to third all-time in program history. Additionally, Jacklyn Spaccaforno lowered her personal-best time in the event to 15.72.
Competing in the 800m for the first time this outdoor season, Sarah Guthrie clocked a time of 1:03.20.
Duverger led a number of Warriors in the 100m as she placed 24th with a personal-best time of 12.70, followed by Kyle in 27th at 12.75. Rhodes (48th – 12.97), Kayla Horning (62nd – 13.16), and Edmonds (63rd – 13.16) rounded out the finishes for ESU.
Jones returned for 400m hurdles earning a 10th place finish after clocking a time of 1:05.11.
Field Event Highlights
Kicking off the day in the field events for the Warriors was Olivia Sforza with a 25th place finish in the javelin after recording a throw of 33.58m (110-2).
Elizabeth Makar paced ESU in the shot put as she recorded a throw of 13.98m (45-10 ½) to take sixth while Isabella Marte had mark of 10.71m (35-1 ¾).
In the pole vault, Nickolina Annelli had a career day on her way to a 19th place finish as she cleared the bar at personal-best height of 3.55m (11-7 ¾). Annelli moved into third all-time in program history with her performance. Hannah Frankenfield took 24th with a mark of 3.40m (11-1 ¾).
Madison Horahan was 25th in the hammer throw with a mark of 43.46m (140-6) and Marte was 29th at 42.83m (140-6).
